Enterprise IT Professional for Apple Technology

Would you like to learn to manage Apple technology?

Technology industry employees looking to expand their skill sets may take courses that are part of the
Enterprise IT Professional for Apple Technology series. If the employee already has experience or
certifications in one or more of the learning milestones, they may be waived from certain courses providing
they can show proof of certification or skill mastery. In most cases, Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) credit
for those classes or certifications already earned can be given by the college for a small fee or potentially
no fee.

Completion of this program will award students 2 Certificate of Completion (CCLs) :

  • AppleCare Hardware Repair Exam Prep
  • JAMF Training Foundation

Completion of this program will also help prepare the student for these 3 Industry Certifications:

  • AppleCare Devices
  • AppleCare Computers
  • JAMF

New students starting on the pathway can complete all courses and attain the CCLs in 3 semesters.

These courses will prepare you for a 16-week unpaid internship at Mesa Community College.

Once you complete the internship course, you are eligible for a paid apprenticeship with one of MITI's industry partners looking to hire Apple Enterprise Professionals.

Students who are new to technology will need to build their first technology skill set. These students will be required to follow all the milestones in the Enterprise IT Professional for Apple Technology series if they are to be eligible for the internship and apprenticeship.

Associated Courses

AppleCare Exam Prep: iOS Device Repair 3 (BPC260) - 3 credits

Certifies students to perform troubleshooting and repair of all iPhone models currently supported by Apple. Students who complete the course are certified Apprentice in the Global Service Exchange (GSX) using the Apple learning management system (ATLAS). Prerequisites: None.

AppleCare Exam Prep: Mac Computer Models Repair 3 (BPC262) - 3 credits

Certifies students to perform troubleshooting and repair of all MacBook laptops and Mac computers currently supported by Apple. Students who complete the course are certified Apprentice in the Global Service Exchange (GSX) using the Apple learning management system (ATLAS). Prerequisites: None.


JAMF Training Foundation (BPC265) - 3 Credits

Offers a core understanding of Jamf Pro and Jamf Protect as well as an enterprise-focused examination of the macOS, iOS, and iPadOS platforms. The hands-on and example-based environment provides experience in the configuration of Jamf Pro, Jamf Protect, device enrollment, distributing App Store apps, building and managing packages to deploy to computers, configuration and settings for computers and mobile devices, device security, a scripting overview (Bash), and an introduction to the security standards. This offering includes content and certification opportunities from the Jamf 100, 170, and 200 courses.

Mesa Community College Unpaid Internship (CIS290) - 3 Credits 16 Weeks

Potential Paid Apprenticeship - 6 Months

Tuition

$97 per credit hour plus a one-time $15 registration fee

Total cost: $1179* (12 credits including the initial registration fee)

Certificate of Completion (CCL) in AppleCare Hardware Repair Exam Prep

The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in AppleCare Hardware Repair Exam Prep prepares students to perform troubleshooting and repair of devices and computer models currently supported by Apple. Upon successful completion, students will have the opportunity to become certified in the Global Service Exchange (GSX) using Apple Technical Learning Administration System (ATLAS), the Apple learning management system. During the course students will become certified on all Apple certified devices.

Course Delivery

The courses within this program involve Live Online modality, in person and hybrid courses. Live Online courses feature online sessions that meet live on specific days and times. Attendance in these live online sessions is mandatory. Students are required to have access to a computer or mobile device, and Internet access, unless otherwise specified.

Industry Outlook

Apple certifications enable the learner to diagnose hardware or device problems, repair devices and perform upgrades. These certifications assist candidates seeking employment as a service technician, such as those employed by an Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP), a Self-Servicing Account (SSA), or an Apple reseller.

Upon completion of this certificate, students may pursue a career as:

JAMF

A program that prepares individuals to manage the computer operations and control the system configurations emanating from a specific site or network hub for apple devices. Includes instruction in computer hardware and software and applications; local area (LAN) and wide area (WAN) networking; principles of information systems security; disk space and traffic load monitoring; data backup; resource allocation; and setup and takedown procedures.
