What is Girls Get IT?

Girls Get IT is the East Valley event that engaged and informed young women and working professionals on the wide array of exciting careers in STEM fields and how they prepare for or advance a career in IT.

The event was sponsored by the Maricopa Information Technology Institute, East Valley (MITI) a collaborative of Chandler-Gilbert, Mesa, and Scottsdale Community Colleges. Scottsdale Community College hosted the event.

High school girls participated in a fun virtual day of engaging activities, listened to keynote speakers, participated with professional women in an interactive panel, obtained information about emerging careers in technology, received swag items, and heard from other women about their achievements in the field.
