Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science

The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Exercise Science prepares students with a strong foundation in the scientific principles of human movement. Students learn to assess movement, apply evidence-based practices, and design safe, effective exercise programs that promote performance and health.

Two emphases allow students to focus their studies: Fitness and Human Performance, emphasizing advanced training principles and performance enhancement; and Pre-Physical Therapy, emphasizing anatomy, movement science, and research to support graduate study in rehabilitation and clinical movement fields. Through applied coursework and internship experiences, students develop the knowledge, technical skills, and professional behaviors essential to success in exercise and health-related settings.

Certification of Completion (CCL) in Personal Training and Associate of Arts, Emphasis in Exercise Science are also available and embedded within the Bachelor of Science.
