EMT101 Basic Life Support/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Health Care Providers 0.5 Credits

Designed to provide the allied healthcare provider with the knowledge and skills to perform Basic Life Support (BLS) according to current guidelines for emergency cardiovascular care (ECC). Prerequisites: None.

Course Notes: Certification through American Heart Association (AHA). This is a Healthcare Provider level CPR course. Previous certification or experience not required.

Registration Information:

1. Students must take the Reading Placement test and pass with a 10th grade reading score

2. The EMT program is offered as a cohort. Students must register for the following EMT101, EMT104, EMT104LL and EMT104AB classes, by adding each section to your Student Center Shopping Cart at the same time, prior to completing the registration process.

Additional Course Notes: EMT101 may be repeated for credit.
