What Type of Student Are You?

New Student
You are new to the Maricopa Community Colleges and would like to become a student.

Returning Student
You previously enrolled at any of the 10 Maricopa Community Colleges, or you need to finish a recent application.

High School Student
You want to take your first classes through Dual Enrollment, Concurrent Enrollment, or other programs for high school students.

Non-credit Student
You are new to the Maricopa Community Colleges and want to take classes for continuing education or personal enrichment.
2. Complete Student Center Items

Now that you are admitted, complete your new student tasks:
- Log in to your Student Center to work on additional important tasks before you can register for classes. You will submit your Government ID during this step. Check your To Do List for details.
- Determine your course placement. MCC offers several ways to determine the right English, reading, and math courses for you. These include your high school GPA, as well as scores on the GED, ACT, SAT, and ACCUPLACER exams.
- Register for New Student Orientation to learn about how to be a successful student and explore the many MCC resources available to you.
3. Connect with a Navigator and Register

You are now ready to begin planning your first semester schedule. A navigator has been assigned to guide you through the next steps. Your navigator will reach out after you submit the application, or you can get in touch with them right away.
4. Arrange Payment

After you have registered for classes, you need to make payment arrangements.
- Ensure your tuition rate reflects your status as either an in-state or out-of-state student. The tuition rate is determined after submitting your ID and other supporting documents. For more information, go to Residency Information.
- Explore ways to make payment arrangements.
- Apply for Federal Financial Aid
- Sign up for a Tuition Payment Plan
- Make a Payment
- See All Payment Plan Options
- Review your tuition balance, refund, and payment deadlines.

3. Request Classes and Connect with the Early College Team
You are ready to start planning your schedule for the semester.
- If you are a Dual Enrollment student (taking classes at your high school for college credit):
- Visit your high school’s list of dual enrollment classes.
- For classes you’re interested in, make a note of the course number, course title, credits, five-digit class number, and instructor.
- Use the registration form found in your Student Center to request your classes. A staff member will enroll you in classes in 3-5 business days.
- If you are a Concurrent Enrollment student (taking classes on the MCC campus):
- Use the MCC Class Schedule to search for your classes and select “Show Only Open Classes”.
- For classes you’re interested in, make a note of the course number, course title, credits, five-digit class number, and instructor.
- Submit the Enrollment Request Form for Students Under 18 to request your classes. A staff member will enroll you in classes in 3-5 business days.

After you have registered for classes, you need to make payment arrangements.
- If you are a Dual Enrollment student, check the special due date for payment. Tuition assistance is available on a first-come, first-serve basis through a separate application.
- If you are a Concurrent Enrollment student, check the due date for your tuition and fees and submit payment by the due date.
