Travel Signature

It is essential to remember that you must take full legal responsibility for maintaining your status with United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). That is, you are responsible for finding out, knowing, and following pertinent regulations. All USCIS forms are available online.

Every time international students re-enter the U.S. they must have a valid passport, visa and I-20 with a valid signature at hand. A valid signature is important as it lets USCIS know that you are currently a full-time student at MCC.

How to get a travel signature

Every semester you must have the second page of your I-20 signed by your school’s DSO. The signature is valid for six months. Before signing your DSO will verify that you are indeed in status as a student, are registered for classes full-time and have no tuition charges pending.

It is important that you make the necessary preparations before traveling as you will need to allow between 7-10 business days for your order to be processed.

DO NOT RE-ENTER THE US WITHOUT YOUR SIGNED I-20
