Flex Start Classes
Missed the first day of classes or not able to register until after they begin? No problem. MCC offers hundreds of classes that start on various dates throughout the semester in 8-, 10- and 14-week choices. Check the course schedule to find the class, days and time that are ideal for you.

Scholarships are a gift – they do not need to be paid back. -
Grants
Grants are free aid you do not have to pay back. -
Presidents’ Honor Scholarship
Funds covering in-county tuition up to 15-credit hours plus registration fees for four consecutive semesters are available to recent Maricopa County high school graduates with a minimum 3.0 GPA plus qualifying placement test scores. -
Honors Achievement Award
After completing 12 credits (100+ level classes) at MCC, with a 3.25 GPA or better, plus other requirements, you may be eligible for an award of up to $500 per semester. -
Fast-Tracking the Dream
Based on need. A New Leaf will match $3,000 for up to $1,000 saved by students for a total of $4,000. -
Student Loans
Loans are a form of aid that must be repaid, with interest. -
Work Study
Work study is self-help aid in the form of an on-campus job.
FAFSA
Grants, work study, scholarships and loans require you to fill out and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Financial aid based on FAFSA can take six weeks or longer. If you don’t receive funds when tuition is due, you need to sign up for a payment plan to avoid being dropped from classes. Check for funding in your Student Center at my.maricopa.edu.
