When you have been offered financial aid, you will receive an award notification message in your Student Center.
If you were offered a student loan, you will be required to accept it, decline it or you can request a lesser amount.
Pell grant funds are automatically accepted, but the amount may be adjusted at the start of the semester to reflect your enrollment.
Scholarships are a great way to help cover education expenses but first, you have to apply.
You can find available scholarships on MCC's Scholarships page. Other scholarships may be offered by community organizations, local businesses, religious organizations, your employer, or your parent's employer. You can also do an online search for scholarships, but before you apply for any scholarship, make sure you read Scholarship Applications to Avoid.

If it has been determined that you have not met Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), you will not be eligible for financial aid which consists of grants, federal work-study, all student loans including PLUS and private loans, and certain scholarships. However, you may submit a petition to apply for a reinstatement of your financial aid eligibility.
To appeal for not meeting the Progress or GPA measure of SAP:
Federal regulations allow students to receive financial aid from only one school per enrollment period.
Maximum Time Frame is reached when a student has attempted 150% of the published credits it takes to complete their program plan here at MCC. *
