Ways to Get Your Income Information for Verification
- Use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool on your FAFSA
- Go to IRS.gov
- Call 1-800-908-9946 to order them by phone
- Call 1-844-545-5640 to make an appointment with the IRS (Limited Services and not available in all areas)
Need More Verification Assistance
The U.S. Department of Education is required by federal regulations to select some student FAFSAs for verification. Approximately 30% of all students who apply for federal student aid (the FAFSA) are selected for verification.
Items needed for your verification process will be placed on your To Do List. You can find your To Do List on your Student CenterTasks tile or on your MyInfo app. Click on each To Do List item for information and instructions. To receive federal financial aid, you must submit all requested verification documents and they must be reviewed and verified by the Maricopa Community Colleges. If you do not submit the requested verification documentation we will not be able to offer you financial aid.
Verification documents submitted by email will not be accepted.
