Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF)
KCACTF is an exciting opportunity for our students to interact with their peers and gain regional and national exposure. At the discretion of the faculty, the Department will, from time to time, enter Mainstage productions into the Regional Competition.
Immersive Total Patient Management Experience (ITPME)
The Theatre and Film Arts Department now works with the MCC Fire Science and EMT programs to provide realistic training scenarios for future first responders. To learn more and to sign up, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The ariZoni Awards
We submit all Mainstage selections for adjudication for ariZoni Awards of Excellence. Students are scored for their performances, design, and execution of command. We celebrate student achievements when they are called upon to receive an award, and constructive critiques help them grow as artists.
From the ariZoni website:
“We promote the visibility, cooperation and growth of theatre in the Valley and are dedicated to recognizing excellence in theatrical performances, as well as individuals who produce exceptional work in all aspects of theatre.
Each year at its annual awards ceremony, the Board bestows an outstanding contribution award and a distinguished service award to deserving individuals or organizations for their contributions to theatre. In addition, the ariZoni Scholarship Committee will award one or more scholarships to selected, qualified students.”

Each of our production shops offer work study positions for students who qualify for Federal Work Study. Find out more information about each area and the application process.
