Designed to meet the National and Arizona Department of Health Services (A-DHS) recertification for EMTs. Enhances the knowledge base of the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and reinforces basic skills competencies.

Prerequisites: Current validation in Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider/Professional Rescuer

  • Out-of-State applicants must show proof of current state or National Registry certification to be eligible to take the EMT Refresher course.
  • National Registry written and practical testing is required if not currently nationally certified.
  • An Arizona certification that has expired but is within two years from the expiration date may take the EMT Refresher course and must take National Registry written exam.

Steps to Register

EMT200 Interest Form

  • Unfortunately, we are not holding a refresher course this Spring semester but we are hoping to hold one in the Fall. Please fill out the interest form and we will reach out to you with updates on this course.
  • To complete and submit the EMT 200 Refresher Interest Form, you must first be a Mesa Community College Student. To apply for admissions with Maricopa College District and Mesa Community College, please visit our Admissions Page.
  • Please be advised that you must be prepared to upload .pdf, .gif or .jpeg copies of the following documents to this registration form:
    • Valid photo ID
    • EMT Certification
    • BLS CPR Provider Card (currently valid) - should be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI), or American Red Cross (ARC).
