What is Biomedical Technology?

Biomedical Technology is the application of technology and engineering to solve biological or medical problems involving humans, which can involve activities from designing medical equipment or conducting research.

What does a Biomedical Technician do?

Biomedical Technicians install and maintain patient monitors, ventilators, ultrasound equipment, X-ray machines and other care equipment. Biomedical Technicians specialize in certain types of medical equipment based on where and how it is used - doctor offices, hospitals, surgery suites, dental and radiology.
