All students new to college (with no prior or university credits) or new to Maricopa Community College District - will be required to meet with an Academic Advisor in order to register for classes for most programs of study. You can fulfill this requirement by attending a New Student Advising session at the Southern and Dobson campus, or meeting with an advisor individually at the Red Mountain campus.
Available for Southern and Dobson campus students, this is a group advising session that allows you to meet with other students and discuss important aspects of college success. You will be introduced to the programs MCC offers, various resources available to you as a student, discuss important policies, and register for classes with the assistance of an advisor.
Please ensure you have completed your testing requirements and been admitted prior to attending a session.
Please sign up for a New Student Advising session by visiting the New Student Welcome Room (EC114) in the Enrollment Center.
Mesa Community College is offering a new way to speak to an advisor! With Cranium Cafe you can chat live and screen-share with an advisor instead of coming on campus. Chat is available 9:00-5:00 pm Monday-Thursday and 10:00-4:00 on Fridays as advisors are available.
When you see a green light below, an advisor is available. Log-in with your MEID and password and an advisor will invite you to chat.
If you see a red or yellow light and would like to leave an email for an advisor please go here.
When logging into Cranium Cafe please log in via Google or Canvas at the bottom of the page.
If you would like to schedule an appointment (either online or in person) click one one of the blue "Schedule Meeting" buttons above and you will receive a confirmation from Cranium Cafe in your email.
For assistance in making appointments please click here.
Continuing and prospective students may walk-in during posted office hours at the Enrollment Center. Students will not have a scheduled appointment and should expect to wait to be seen in the order of their arrival/check-in.
Please note: We will take the last walk-in student 30 minutes before close of business hours.
