First-time applicants for a state-issued occupational license may be eligible for a licensing fee waiver. Signed by the governor in 2017, HB 2372 requires state licensing boards to waive any initial licensing fees for first-time applicants from families earning less than 200 percent of the federal poverty level. Consult the industry licensing board application directions to learn if the exam fee is covered by this law. Arizona Revised Statute A.R.S. 41-1080.01 Licensing fees; waiver; definitions.
