Welcome to MCC's FREE Math Boot Camps!
As you kick off this week, remember: we're here to improve, not to prove. Our classroom is a welcoming space where questions are encouraged, participation is valued, and respect is paramount. Each of you brings a unique perspective, and this diversity is a key strength of our community. As we dive into the materials, let's check our egos at the door. Together, we'll learn, build connections, and have a great time with math!

To determine which math boot camp is right for you, see the learning objectives below:
- Intermediate Algebra: The primary objective of this boot camp is to aid you in becoming confident and competent in solving problems that require techniques developed in MAT091 and MAT120-126. You will review order of operations, introduction to functions and characteristics of their graphs, exponents and radicals, and solving quadratics, inequalities, and systems of equations.
- College Algebra: The primary objective of this boot camp is to aid you in becoming confident and competent in solving problems that require techniques to help prepare you for MAT150-156. You will review quadratics, rational functions, radicals, and logarithms.
- Math for the Liberal Arts: The primary objective of this boot camp is to aid you in becoming confident and competent in solving problems that require techniques developed in MAT141/146. You will review order of operations & rounding, ratios & fractions, variables & formulas, and how to use your graphing calculator.
- Calculus: The primary objective of this boot camp is to aid you in becoming confident and competent in solving problems that require techniques developed in Calculus, Pre-Calculus (MAT187), and Trigonometry (MAT182). In general, Calculus is a study of functions. Because of this, you will review graphs and their characteristics, how to solve equations and simplify expressions, and basic applications & tools. Success in Calculus will require you to use your previous knowledge of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. The goal of this boot camp is to provide an opportunity for you to recall previously learned material while hopefully deepening your understanding and strengthening your skills.
