We offer two different levels of chemistry boot camps: CHM130 and CHM151. Please choose the one that best aligns with the class you will enroll in in Spring 2027.
Boot camp dates and times will be posted as the Spring 2027 semester approaches.

Who should attend the MCC Chemistry Boot Camps?
- Student taking CHM 130 or CHM151.
The CHM130 Boot Camp is intended for students who are planning on taking CHM 130. This boot camp would also be a great review for students taking CHM 151. This boot camp reviews basic chemistry, math, and study skills concepts that will be used throughout the semester:
Introduction to Chemistry 130, SMART Goals, and a review of key math concepts
- Linear Functions, Scientific Units and Dimensional Analysis
- Anatomy of an Atom, and Introduction to Chemical Formulas
- Implement study skill strategies specific to chemistry
The CHM151 Boot Camp is intended for students who are planning on taking a CHM 151 lecture, but it would also be a great review for students taking CHM 151 lab. This boot camp provides an overview of some math/statistical and chemistry concepts that will be used throughout the semester:
- Introduction to CHM 151, overview of significant figures & statistical calculations, nomenclature, equations and general overview of topics in curriculum
- Some classic muddy concepts in stoichiometry: when to use Avogadro number vs molar mass, difference in mole vs molarity
- Fast-paced study skills applicable for first-semester general chemistry

- No, but you are welcome to bring your own device.
Do I need to attend all three days?
- For the most out of our experience, please attend the entire boot camp.
