The First Year Experience is a year-long college program focused on providing first-year students with the services and support needed to successfully transition to Mesa Community College.

First Year Experience students are placed into cohorts designed to enrich and support their learning experience. Students will take first year composition and/or college-level elective courses with their learning community.

Students will receive a scholarship to apply toward one Summer 2021 and/or Fall 2021 cohort course.

Embedded Math Boot Camps and access to Reading/Writing Boot Camp

Assistance with major/career exploration and the university transfer process

This year you can apply online. Please ask your MPS/MCC college advisor at your high school for the registration link or email Melissa Carpenter (LB 11 - Room: LB171; melissa.carpenter@mesacc.edu). Your college advisor can help you select classes that work best for your major or field of interest.
