Start your semester on the right foot! Join us this August to explore and review various topics in Astronomy, Chemistry, Geology and Physics.

Physical Science Boot Camp

August 16-19 from 4:30-6:30pm or August 28 from 8:00am-5:00pm

Interested in Astronomy, Geology, or Physics? This Boot Camp is for you! During this 8hr Boot Camp attendees will:

  • Explore what each discipline has to offer.
  • Review math concepts that will be used throughout the semester.
  • Implement study skill strategies specific to science.
  • Participate in labs and explorations.

Get the foundation you need to kick start your physical science class(es), meet faculty, and work with peers who will be in your classes. This camp is geared towards students who are planning on taking AST 111, AST 112, GLG 101, GLG 102, GLG 105, GLG 110, and PHY 101; however, all students are welcome to review and fine tune their skills. Both sessions will be taught at the Southern and Dobson Campus.

Chemistry 130 Boot Camp

August 9-12 from 10:00am-12:00pm or August 16-19 from 5:00-7:00pm

Taking CHM 130 this upcoming semester? This Boot Camp is for you! During this chemistry specific camp attendees will:

  • Review basic chemistry and math concepts that will be used throughout the semester.
  • Implement study skill strategies specific to chemistry.
  • Explore topics in chemistry.
  • Participate in labs and explorations.

Get the foundation you need to kick start your chemistry class, meet faculty, and work with peers who will be in your CHM 130 class. This camp is geared towards students who are planning on taking CHM 130 but would also be a great review for students taking CHM 151 or CHM152. Click here for our flyer.
