New Student Specialist Lead - Temp Level 2 - Orientation

Job Summary:
Provides daily operational and leadership support to the New Student Welcome Room and Orientation program.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides front line support to students, staff and faculty in the New Student Welcome Room.
  • Acts as a lead for escalation and problem solves to resolution with students, faculty, staff and the public via phone, email and chat and in-person.
  • Help plan and attend enrollment related events, new student orientation, or other application activities.
  • Monitors and evaluates needs of New Student Orientation (online format) and collaborates with Coordinator and others to update annually. Processes and troubleshoots dynamic form requests.
  • Creates correspondence, reports, presentations, and program materials, and perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school Diploma or GED.
  • One year customer service experience
  • Experience with MCC application, enrollment, and registration procedures.

Job Summary:

Job Summary:
The purpose of this position in the Admissions & Records Contact Center at Mesa Community College is to provide comprehensive support to students seeking assistance with resolving admissions, records, registration, and payment related services in a one-stop enrollment services model to new and continuing students with high levels of accuracy and customer service

Essential Functions:

  • Administer Information over the phone related to students accounts for registration, admissions, records and cashier’s. Process emails, Electronic dynamic forms, and take cashier payments.
  • Provide customers with clear, complete and accurate responses to their questions and document interactions in the Student Information System(SIS)
  • Ability to successfully use technology in relation to in person services Customer Relations Management (CRM), Student Information System (SIS), Google Suite (Gmail, Groups, Drive, and Calendar) and ASSIST software.
  • Provide other Enrollment Services related support as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Customer service experience involving a high volume of public contact
  • Experience managing multiple tasks within a process or procedure
  • Effective interpersonal skills and written communication skills
  • Experience working with a diverse student/customer population

Job Summary:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Successful completion (grade of “A”) in CIS 105 or BPC 110 or equivalent or CSC courses

Job Summary:
Provides tutoring support and outreach to Biology students as well as instructional and training support to Student Learning Facilitators in the biology sites of the Learning Enhancement in the biology sites of the Learning Enhancement Center.

Essential Functions:

  • 70% Provides tutoring support to a diverse student population, at varying levels of knowledge and abilities, in biology; assists in the training of tutors in the content area of biology; utilizes appropriate software and technology in order to execute tutoring responsibilities (MS office programs, Canvas, TracCloud, MOER, Maple, MatLab, and/or equivalent); plans and delivers workshops and other learning support activities
  • 15% Serves as a liaison between student learning facilitators and faculty regarding content support; mentors and coaches student learning facilitators on tutoring best practices; creates resource materials and instructional aids suitable for all levels of content area knowledge; represents the Learning Enhancement Center by conducting small and large group presentations about the Center services; collaborates with faculty to ensure adequate reinforcement of classroom instruction in the area of biology
  • 15% Performs outreach to biology students; Assists in the maintenance of department records, tracking platforms, resources, and schedules; supports department initiatives and programs related to biology tutoring; supports biology tutoring at Red Mountain campus; other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a regionally accredited institution with successful completion (grade of “A”) of at least 16 credits in Biology and one year of program support in an educational setting.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology from a regionally accredited institution

  • Experience tutoring biology in an institution of higher education or experience teaching biology to a diverse learner population

  • Experience working in a comprehensive learning center in an institution of higher education or a similar setting

  • Experience designing workshops on academic topics or developing instructional materials

  • Experience with various educational software and technology programs (e.g., TracCloud, Student Information System, Learning Management system)

Job Summary:
Administers a variety of paper and computer-based exams to students/community members and related testing duties. Provides general clerical assistance, including answering phones, greeting/directing student and customer traffic at Red Mountain MCC testing location.

Essential Functions:

  • Administer a variety of online exams to Mesa Community College students including placement exams, credit by examination, and degree-specific exams
  • Advises students of testing schedules and procedures
  • Provides general clerical assistance including typing, filing, answering phones, and processing incoming/outgoing mail

Minimum Qualifications:
