Part-time office assistant - Testing Services

Job Summary:
Employees are cross trained to assist students, faculty, and community members with enrollment, testing and instructional support. Administers a variety of paper and computer-based exams to students/community members and related testing duties. What we do:

  • Review unofficial high school transcripts and external test scores used for course placement
  • Provide course placement support (Multiple Measures, EdReady and Accuplacer).
  • Administer course placement exam for English Language Learners (ELL/ESL)
  • Pearson Vue Industry Certification exams (examples are CompTIA, CISCO, Pharmacy Tech, etc.)
  • Administer GED (High School Equivalency) exam in both English and Spanish Languages

  • Work with college faculty to ensure classroom exams are administered per specific directions
  • Work with Disability Resource to provide accommodated tests to students with ADA disabilities

Job Summary:
The purpose of this position in Admissions & Records (Contact Center) at Mesa Community College is to provide comprehensive support to students seeking assistance with resolving admissions, records, registration, and payment related services in a one-stop enrollment services model to new and continuing students with high levels of accuracy and customer service.

Essential Functions:

  • Answer inbound student phone calls and emails, triage tickets, process dynamic forms, and support Contact Center initiatives

Peer coaches will work with program participants to overcome the academic and social barriers to academic success. As an Academic Tutor, you will help build positive learning communities for TRIO SSS participants, create meaningful connections with participants and staff, and support participant academic success to reinforce the mission and goals of TRIO SSS.
