JAWS for Windows

JAWS® for Windows is the industry standard for screen reading software for students who are blind; it reads aloud what’s on your PC screen and gives powerful access to PC applications via speech and Braille.

MCC is proud to be able to offer our students a one-year subscription to JAWS for free. Please contact the Disability Resources and Services Department for further instructions.

LiveScribe SmartPen

This technology records lectures while a student takes notes and links the audio to what is written.

The student is then able to upload the Pencast to Echo Desktop software, an organizational note-taking system, which stores all words, ideas, diagrams and audio recordings created with the Smart Pen.
