We welcome members of the public to use the MCC Libraries and its resources. As an academic library, our primary mission is to support student learning, and services are prioritized accordingly. Community members are asked to follow all MCC and MCCCD policies and understand that Library hours follow the academic calendar and may vary by semester.
Library Account for Community Members
Maricopa County residents age 18 and older may request a Community Borrower account to check out physical materials.
To register:
- Create a Maricopa Enterprise ID (MEID) and password.
- Bring a valid Arizona state-issued photo ID with a Maricopa County address (or proof of Maricopa County residency) to the library's Circulation Desk.
- Library staff will activate your borrowing account.
Community Borrower accounts are valid for one year and must be in good standing (no outstanding fees) to be renewed. See MCCCD Libraries Borrowing Guidelines for checkout periods, renewals, and more.
Computer & Internet Access
- Library computers are reserved for currently enrolled MCC students.
- Community members may use their own devices to access Wi-Fi on campus.
- For public computer access, nearby Mesa Public Library branches at Dobson Ranch and Red Mountain are available.
Access to Databases & Online Resources
- Per MCCCD Borrowing Guidelines, community borrower eligibility does not include access to electronic resources at this time.
Conduct & Campus Policy
- All community visitors are expected to follow the MCC Library Conduct Policy and MCCCD regulations.
- Children under 18 who are not enrolled in college credit courses must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times (MCCCD Administrative Regulation 2.4.10).
