What is Geo Club?
The Geology Club is a MCC - sponsored student organization that performs various campus and community service activities that range from collecting pink halite crystals at Trona to selling the crystals at various gem and mineral shows (like the Flagg Gem & Mineral Show) to helping with the Geology Outreach program (like Science Day). Active Geo Club members can also attend various Club-related field trips.
How Do I Become a Geo Club Member?
Easy! To be recognized as an active Club member, you'll need to participate in one or more of the community service activities (like a Mineral Show or Outreach event). This enables you to go on any trip run by the Geology Club, with most field trip expenses (transportation, park entrance and camping fees, dinners, etc.) typically covered by the MCC and/or the Geology Club. Come to a Club meeting to learn more or talk to any of the student officers or faculty advisors.
