Climatology

Climatology is the long-term study of the atmosphere and the many interrelated processes.

Climatologists study what happens in a city (like the Urban Heat Island), what happens in a region (like the Arizona Monsoon), and what happens across the globe (like El Nino).

Introduction to Climatology (GPH 213) provides an important perspective in understanding long-term atmospheric conditions. Taken with the lab, GPH 215, the course transfers in the AZ system as a General Education (SG) lab class. MCC offers GPH 213 and GPH 215 every spring.
