Advertising Art Director. Event Planner. Information Architect. Media Research Analyst. Web Content Editor. This is just a sample of the kind of job titles you find in the field of marketing. In the broadest sense, marketing is the function in business of developing, testing, merchandising, promoting, and selling products or services.

The Marketing program at MCC provides you with the basic knowledge and skills you’ll need to begin your career in marketing or to continue your studies at a four-year program. Many entry-level positions in marketing are in sales. After gaining experience, the marketing professional often moves into management and leadership positions. Typically, marketing students seek jobs in advertising, public relations, sport management, and entertainment. While these positions are often difficult to obtain, ambitious students will break in at the bottom level, taking internships or other relevant experiences in these fields, even if unpaid.
