Message from the Director

Every year, Mesa Community College (MCC) welcomes hundreds of students from around the world. MCC celebrates the amazing level of diversity our international students bring to our campus! We accept students for English-language training or to any of our 195 academic degree programs.

What distinguishes MCC from many other colleges and universities is the level of support our college provides its international students. Our comprehensive and student-centered Student Success Passport of services provides the encouragement and structure to maximize the utilization of a broad range of student support services from tutoring, counseling (personal, academic and career), language and academic skills development, to a range of student cultural and recreational activities. You will feel supported and at home at MCC!

MCC’s Office of International Education is very fortunate to have a seasoned professional staff with experience advising and managing student programs from every region of the world. Currently, we host and administer students from nearly 60 countries of the world. MCC’s leadership, staff, and world-class faculty welcome and support our students with open arms!

An important benefit is the connection and academic transfer partnerships that MCC has with 40 universities (in Arizona and other states) as well as with the 9 sister colleges in the Maricopa Community Colleges District (MCCD). MCCD transfer pathways allow students to complete an associate degree program and transfer all academic credits to complete a bachelor degree. Experience a smooth transfer to Arizona State University, the University of Arizona and Northern Arizona University among others. These “2+2” programs allow for the development of a strong foundation and preparation at a very affordable cost and allow transfer to approximately 400 undergraduate majors at our partner universities.

We pride ourselves on working to continually develop programs, services, and activities to help enrich the educational journey of our students. We look forward to serving and welcoming you at the International Education Office. Please visit us any time in building 36N, call us at 480-461-7756, or email us at ie@mesacc.edu.
