The Audio Production Technologies (APT) program offers an Associate in Applied Science Degree (67 credits) and a Certificate of Completion (39 credits). The difference between the two is the addition of General Education classes for the A.A.S. Degree.

The Audio Production Technologies program is based on a curriculum emphasizing studio recording, live concert sound, digital audio workstations, electronic music, and sound design.

Students will work with industry standard equipment and take responsibility for recording sessions and live music events. To enhance the learning in these hands-on technology classes, students will take classes in Music Business, Music Theory and Aural Perception.

Students can earn the APT degree by completing all the required courses listed; a certificate can be obtained by completing just the core classes.

Many of the core classes are available during the evening and summer sessions, and most of the general education requirements can also be met through online classes at Maricopa Community Colleges.
