Addresses and examines major historical developments of the Navajo People with a focus on government, law, society, livelihood, tradition, and culture. Includes the major components and operation of Navajo government and related tribal laws, such as Title II and Title VII of the Navajo Nation Code, as well as the significance of the Treaty of 1868. Federal Indian policies and their impact on Navajo society and government, the importance of federal and tribal citizenship and related federal and tribal laws, and the role of the Navajo clanship system and other relevant cultural concepts addressed. AIT128 A-620 Cable and Wire Harness Assembly Certification 3 Credits
This course will prepare the successful student to receive the "Certified IPC Specialist" (CIS) certification from The Institute for Interconnecting and Packaging Electronic Circuits (IPC)/Wire Harness Manufacturer's Association (WHMA) in "Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies" (IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification). Topics covered and skills to be demonstrated are: soldered terminations, crimp terminations, insulation displacement terminations (IDC), splices, connectorization, marking/labeling, coaxial cable assemblies, electrical shielding, wire marking and labeling, and testing methodologies. Certification is verified by a certified IPC trainer (CIT). Prerequisites: None.

Survey of the role of forensic anthropologists, from the crime scene to the courtroom. Course focuses on how skeletal analysis can aid in medicolegal investigations, especially by identifying aspects of the life history of unknown individuals and by reconstructing events that took place at crime scenes. Notes: Class 17344 is a five (5) week accelerated hybrid course. The lecture is delivered on-line via video and audio format in Canvas. The in-person labs will be delivered on T and R from 1:30-4:20 PM in room LS-202. One third of the labs will be done at home and two thirds will be done on campus. Students are required to purchase a lab "kit" for home based labs ( http://www.hometrainingtools.com/mcc-hybrid-bio-181-kit/p/SK-MCCB181/). Students will also be responsible for completing these weekly home based lab exercises on their own and submitting pictures of these labs in a .jpg format through Canvas (maricopa.instructure.com). To complete assignments, you must have a camera or cell phone based camera capable of taking .jpg images or computer software (such as pixenate) to convert these images to .jpg. Four (4) in-person lecture exams will be given on Thursdays from 4:30-5:45 PM in room NU-101. The specific dates for the lecture exams are 6/4, 6/11, 6/18 and 6/25 (an in-person final exam is required on 6/25 from 4:30-5:45 pm). Check Canvas for room assignment announcements. Notes: Class 17345 is a five (5) week accelerated hybrid course. The lecture is delivered on-line via video and audio format in Canvas. The in-person labs will be delivered on T and R from 1:30-4:20 PM in room LS-202. One third of the labs will be done at home and two thirds will be done on campus. Class 36358 In addition to meeting on campus, there will be an option to meet in a virtual, online classroom. You will be required to attend a weekly lecture (online or in-class) which will start promptly at 4:00 PM (Arizona Time) on Tuesday afternoons. Every student needs to have a headset with a built-in microphone to participate in the virtual class (and helpful in-class). In addition to the online lecture, you will have the opportunity to interact live with the instructor and all other students. There will also be assignments and activities that will be required outside of class time.
