WLD106AD	SMAW Introduction to Pipe						5 Credits
Advanced training in shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) with emphasis on pipe welding using E6010 and E7018 electrodes in various pipe joint positions (1G, 2G, 5G, 6G). Focus is on the open root groove pipe weld joints to prepare students for industry code certification. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in WLD106AA or permission of Instructor.
Course Notes: In addition to taking the WLD106AA as a prerequisite, it is strongly suggested that the student also completes WLD106AB and WLD106AC prior to enrolling into this pipe welding course.
