Introduction to the academic study of religion through the study of myths, symbols, and rituals. Includes methods and theories used by scholars to study the complex subject of religion. Attention to literate and nonliterate cultures.

Prerequisites: Grade of C or better in ENG101, or ENG107, or permission of Department or Division.
