Designed as the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) lecture to prepare students for scope of practice and standard of care with comprehensive assessment, diagnostic technology, patient advocacy, ethical and professional behaviors, critical thinking, decision-making, and patient management of medical and trauma emergencies and non-emergencies. Prerequisites: 18 yrs/older or EMT Prgrm Director permission and (CRE101 or satisfactory score on EdReady Critical Reading & Critical Thinking exam or Gen Accuplacer Reading Exam or HS GPA 3.0 within 10 yrs or Associate¦s Degree). Corequisites: EMT104AB. |

The EMT program is offered as a cohort. Students who complete the registration form linked above will be enrolled in one of each EMT104, EMT104LL and EMT104AB classes by the department. Additional Course Notes: Students must meet National Registry of EMT requirements for certification. Additional information available at nremt.org. EMT104 may be repeated for credit. |
