MESA, Arizona – September 2, 2015 – Mesa Community College (MCC) Theatre & Film Arts Department is presenting Lewis Carroll’s timeless classic, Alice in Wonderland, October 16, 17, 22 & 23 at 7 p.m.; and October 17 & 24 at 2 p.m., at the MCC Theatre located on the south side of MCC’s campus (1833 W. Southern Ave., Mesa, 85202) . Tickets, ranging from $9 to $12, are available by calling the MCC Box Office at 480-461-7172, online at www.purplepass.com/MCC, or at the door.
The play is adapted from the original by the production’s director, Jordan Deffenbaugh. It follows Alice as she plunges down the rabbit hole and becomes involved in a madcap and deliciously satiric series of adventures immortalized by Lewis Carroll. Chasing the White Rabbit, Alice tumbles down the rabbit hole into Wonderland, where she meets all its famous residents: the King of Hearts, the Red Queen, the Dormouse, Mad Hatter, the March Hare, the Caterpillar and other fantastical characters designed to captivate the young of heart, regardless of age.
This production will also tour elementary schools in the Mesa Public School District once the run at the MCC Theatre is completed.
