MESA, Ariz. – Sept. 4, 2026 – In-person registration has reached capacity for Mesa Community College’s (MCC) Enterprise IT Professional for Apple Technology event on Sept.10.
The free event, sponsored by Maricopa Information Technology Institute (MITI), is designed to bring together students, faculty and industry professionals to explore career and training opportunities in Enterprise IT and Apple Device management. The event is now open to others via live stream from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at mesacc.edu/live.
“This event highlights the success of MCC’s Enterprise IT Professional for Apple Technology certification program and the opportunities it can create for students,” said MCC Computer Information Systems Faculty Chair Christine Held, Ed.D. MCC is the only college within the Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) offering the certification program, which includes a series of courses including Apple Device Support where students learn to manage and troubleshoot Apple devices in a large organization.
“One of the key benefits of the program is that it can potentially provide a pathway toward mid-level employment, helping students build the skills and experience they need to advance their careers.”
Event attendees can connect with IT professionals from across the nation, learn about their experiences in the industry, and potentially build mentorship relationships that can support their career growth, she added.
Keynote speaker MCCCD Director of IT Operations Alvin Bridges will discuss the Jamf and Enterprise IT for Apple offerings at MCC, the evolution of the program and the need for this type of training. MCC is the only community college within the district offering a Certificate of Completion in Jamf Training Foundation through the Enterprise IT certification programming.
During a Program Promotion Panel, MCC Systems and Applications Administrator-College Technology Services Carl Cortez, will discuss Apple Enterprise growth trends and technician demand. Students will relate their experiences and goals in the program and attendees will submit questions to the panel.
In addition, two fireside chats will explore a variety of Apple Enterprise topics. Fireside Chat #1, featuring Jamf Vice President of Strategy Suraj Mohandas, Bridges and Cortez, will describe how Jamf has evolved. The second Fireside Chat, with Rachna Mathur, STEM and Semiconductor & Microelectronics Education Strategy leader at ASU Preparatory Academy, will explain Apple device and technical support.
Also, an Equity Innovation Hub Challenge will be held and financial literacy will be addressed.
