MCC Named a Top Community College for Adult Learners

MESA, Arizona – September 1, 2017 – Mesa Community College was named a 2017 Best 2-Year College for Adult Learners by Washington Monthly magazine.

MCC ranked 20th in the nation based on review of available data; receiving maximum points for ease of transfer and services for adult students, and a near perfect score in flexibility of programs.

MCC is aware of the challenges adult learners face when returning to school. To help the college offers tutoring, mentoring, and on-site child care along with flexible schedules including hybrid, online and evening classes. The MCC Red Mountain campus class schedule offers a 2-days, 4-days, or 1-day-per-week schedule, decreasing the number of weekly visits to campus.

Washington Monthly's 2017 list of Best 2-year Colleges for Adult Learners included three other Maricopa Community Colleges: GateWay Community College (No. 13), Chandler-Gilbert Community College (No. 62) and Phoenix College (No. 76).
