Desert Echoes Flute Project Performs Spooky Songs for Halloween Concert

MESA, Arizona -- Oct. 15, 2015 -- The Desert Echoes Flute Project present their “The Flute Witch Project” Halloween Concert at the Mesa Community College (MCC) Performing Arts Center on October 16, 2015 at 7:30 pm.  The MCC Performing Arts Center is on the southeast side of campus and can be accessed from the Longmore Road entrance. Tickets are available by contacting the MCC Box Office at 480-461-7172, online at www.purplepass.com/mcc or at the door. Prices are $5.00 to $7.00 for the performance.

The Desert Echoes Flute Project, an exciting and adventurous flute choir program sponsored by the Mesa Community College Music Department, has prepared quite a treat for all community witches and wizards with the "The Flute Witch Project" Halloween Concert.  Using music from the “Harry Potter” films, DEF will present a “Magical Flutes," introducing all of the flutes played, including the unusual nine-foot Contrabass flute and the increasingly rare Eb Soprano flute. The small Chamber Choir will spook you with Sorcerer’s Apprentice and Petrushka’s Ghost before the thirty-member flute choir give you chills as they play Danse Macabre, theme from “Psycho,” Of Wizards and Witches, and A Night On Bald Mountain. DEF project will perform in costume and encourages the audience to dress up as well. Don’t miss the fun musical treat of "The Flute Witch Project" Halloween Concert!
