My News Mesa reports that on April 21, the Mesa Chamber of Commerce hosted the 2017 Annual Leadership Awards to honor business excellence and leadership in Mesa. Winners included Professor of the Year, Paul Harasha, Mesa Community College, and Student of the Year, Charlotte Ruth, Skyline High School. MCC VP of Academic Affairs Rodney Homes presented a $1,000 scholarship award to Skyline High School student Charlotte Ruth. The scholarship, sponsored by MCC, is awarded based on a competitive application process through Mesa Public Schools.
