The first workshop of the 2015-16 college prep workshop series will be held from 10 a.m. to noon this Saturday, Aug. 15 at the Tempe Public Library, 3500 S. Rural Rd.
The City of Tempe has partnered with Tempe Union High School District, Tempe Elementary School District, ASU, Grand Canyon University, Mesa Community College, Northern Arizona University, Rio Salado College, University of Advancing Technology and University of Arizona to create College Connect. The community-based program has been specifically designed to assist young people in fulfilling their dreams of a post-secondary education.
