Nearly 200 students on 76 teams from Arizona community colleges and universities competed for scholarships in the ninth annual Avnet Tech Games, a contest that provides students with an opportunity to apply what they learn in school to real-world scenarios.
The winner of the Robot Race Obstacle Course was a team from Mesa Community College: from left, Federico Ortega, Richard Dale and Spencer Hall.
