The Study Abroad Office is excited to spread the word about an amazing opportunity for students to fund their global experiences. The next application deadline for the Gilman Scholarship is Friday, October 3, 2025, and yes, students from our district do win! Just last October, 9th MCCCD students received awards of $2,500 - $3,000 each, with nearly $26,000 going directly to help students achieve their dreams of international study.
Tips for Success:
- Start early: You'll need time to draft and revise a couple of short essays.
- Get feedback: The Writing Center is a fantastic resource!
- Ask questions: There's no such thing as a silly question. We're here to help.
- Believe its possible: MCCCD students are regularly awarded, and the money arrives in time for payment deadlines.
A scholarship workshop will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, 12:00 - 1:00 PM in LA-5N, Southern & Dobson campus.
