Mesa College Promise is now accepting applications for its fifth cohort of students enrolling Fall 2025. MCC is proud to partner with the City of Mesa and the numerous philanthropic donors who continue to support this nationally recognized educational attainment initiative and workforce investment.
*Eligible students are encouraged to apply by the priority deadline date: May 15, 2025.
The Mesa College Promise is a commitment from the City of Mesa to its residents that eligible students can attend Mesa Community College for two years with Arizona resident tuition and fees fully funded. It is a last dollar, needs based program, which provides financial support to eligible students after all other grants and scholarships have been awarded to cover any remaining tuition and fees.

City of Mesa residents who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply for the Mesa College Promise:
Recent High School Graduates
- Graduated high school after January 1, 2021 from a public, private, charter, or home school, in or adjacent to the city of Mesa
- Earned a 2.0 or higher cumulative high school GPA
- Demonstrated financial need based on FAFSA completion
- Enroll at Mesa Community College the semester after high school graduation as a full-time (12 or more credit hours) degree or certificate seeking student, in an eligible program of study
Returning Adult Learners
- 25 years of age or older at the time of application
- Earned a high school diploma or GED
- Demonstrated financial need based on FAFSA completion
- Some college/no degree
- Enroll at Mesa Community College in a minimum of 6 credit hours as a degree or certificate seeking student, in an eligible program of study

Staff, students, and community members that are interested in learning more about the program and how to apply are invited to attend a virtual information session.

Program benefits include:
- Financial assistance covering the cost of Arizona resident tuition and registration fees for up to two years through a combination of Federal Student Aid, institutional scholarships, or the Mesa College Promise grant.
- A $250 stipend each semester for up to two years to use for books, transportation, or other educational expenses.
- An assigned MCC Academic Advisor to provide academic and personal support throughout your MCC experience.
- Participation in an iPad loan program during your first two years at MCC. Access to workshops, boot campus, tutoring, counseling, and other support services.
- Volunteer and internship opportunities.
