MCC Instrumental Music Presents MCC Jazz Ensemble & MPJE Jazz Concert with Special Guest East Valley Jazz Cooperative

The MCC Jazz Ensemble, a full big band, which consists of 15 winds and a rhythm section will be playing Big Band Standards from the 1950s and ‘60s. Mostly swingin’ tunes and Latin favorites. The MPJE (Mesa Performing Arts Jazz Ensemble) a nonet consisting of 6 winds and rhythm section will be playing jazz from varied styles and genres.
Through its various performing ensembles, supported by guest artist clinics, online instruction, and additional educational opportunities, the Valley Jazz Cooperative offers music students a uniquely valuable experience. While the ensemble programs are a focal point for VJC instruction, the principle goal is to help each individual explore and develop their awesome potential as creative beings through the medium of jazz and the art of improvisation.
