Drop-In Group Fitness Classes

Take a fitness class led by our staff! All classes are included in your membership and include everything from strength training, Yoga, interval training and more.

Go to the MCC online schedule > Select PED in the Course Subject box > Refine your search by using the locations, term, or select more options.

Non Credit Membership Options

Memberships are available for students, employees, and the community.

  • PED class membership (see above)
  • Student Membership: $50 / semester, $25 / half semester, $30 / summer
  • Employee Membership: $25 / semester, $12.50 half semester available fall and spring semesters only
  • Community Membership (open to the public): $60 / semester, $30 / half semester, $40 / summer

To Request a Fitness Center Membership

  1. Fill out this google form.
  2. You will receive a follow up email from our membership coordinator requesting further information or confirmation of your membership.
  3. Please note....once you submit the google form listed above, we will proceed to enroll you in the membership that you selected on the form. There are no refunds. We have a STRICT NO REFUND for Non Credit classes/membership after the class/membership date has started. We understand life happens and if you need to drop the class/membership, you can do this in your student center or contact us before the first day of class!

    Frequently Asked Questions

    What days or times are the gym busiest?
    We are usually not as busy as any other gym in town. We pick up earlier in the week but you will be guraranteed to get in a good workout at almost all times. Our busiest times are usually in the mid afternoon, but rarely will you have to wait on using equipment in our facility.
    Are there showers located in the locker rooms?
    The Fitness Center on both campus locations have showers in the locker rooms that are available to members.
    Does the Fitness Center offer Guest Passes?
    Yes, you can receive one free guest pass per semester to try the Fitness Center. Please visit or call the front desk to claim your free guest pass!
    What kind of lockers do the Fitness Centers have?
    The Southern and Dobson center uses digital locks while the Red Mountain center has metal lockers that require a padlock (locks are not provided). All lockers on both campuses are day-use only.
    How do I sign up for a Silver Sneakers, Active&Fit, or RenewActive membership with my insurance?
    Potential members who would like to enroll in Silver Sneakers, Active&Fit, or Renew/Active program, email mccfitnesscenters@gmail.com. Please provide the name of the program you are currently enrolled. And, if you have been previously enrolled at any of the Maricopa Communitiy Colleges, also include your Student ID number and/or MEID number.
    I want to learn more about Personal Training, what are the costs and benefits working with a Personal Trainer?
    Ask us about free personal training! Working with a trainer can be helpful if you’re new to exercising, for working towards health and performance goals and designing/improving your physical activity. Learn proper exercise techniques with exercise programs that are tailored to your individual needs.
    What is the difference between PED115 and PED101?
    PED101 is a 1-credit course and accumulates 1560 workout minutes for the semester. PED115 is a 2-credit course, and accumulates 2880 workout minutes for the semester. In both classes, 50% of your time for this class ,is spent in the Fitness Center(s) working out. Students have the option to workout the other 50% doing physical activities on their own outside of the centers.
    Is there a cancellation fee for the membership?
    While there is no cancellation fee, there are no refunds for non-credit memberships once a session has begun. If you are unable to commit to your membership, please contact us prior to the first day of the start of classes.
    Where do I pay for my membership?
    You can pay for your membership in person with Cashier's Services (located in the Enrollment Center) or visit your Student Center and pay online, or by calling 480-461-7000 option 5. To register for a membership, please visit us in the Fitness Center and we will provide you with the link to make your request.
