The mission of the Mesa Community College Center for Urban Agriculture (CUA) is to promote education and public awareness of healthy eating and living through sustainable urban agriculture, aquaponics, and local food production.

About the Center

Greenhouse and organic garden at the Center's land lab.The Center for Urban Agriculture located at MCC's Southern and Dobson campus includes organic teaching gardens, an organic urban farm, a cutting-edge aquaponics learning lab, teaching greenhouse, and Associate of Applied Sciences degree programs in Sustainable Agriculture and an Associate of Applied Science in Urban Horticulture. We had help in acquiring the grant from the EPA that funds the Center for Urban Agriculture. RighTrac, Inc., a company dedicated to enhancing communities through the development of aquaponics curriculum for use in science education, in conjunction with the Roosevelt School District in Phoenix, AZ, played key roles in helping us to realize our mission here at the CUA.
