Sasan is the first Chief Technology Officer for the Town of Gilbert, responsible for strategic planning, implementation and stewardship of information technology services for the town. With administrative leadership and teaching experience at the university and community college level spanning more than 20 years, Poureetezadi has also served as an information technology consultant for private, sports and higher education entities.

Before joining the Town of Gilbert, Sasan served as Chief Strategy Officer for Economic Development and Strategic Partnerships at the Maricopa Community Colleges, and accepted the role of interim president after serving as vice president of Information Technology at Mesa Community College.

Sasan led several key MCC initiatives including development and implementation of a five-year Information Technology Strategic Plan, campus technology standardization, creation of an information security and project management office, deployment of a predictive analytics solution and CRM for customer management relations, enterprise licensing standards and agreements, acquisition of philanthropic gifts, as well as decreasing operational overhead while improving customer service outcomes.
