2023

Brandi Steinke White was named MCC Female Athlete of the Year in 2005. She led the women’s basketball team in points, rebounds, blocks, and field goal percentage. Captain of the team both years at MCC, she was First Team All American, First Team All ACCAC, First Team All Conference, plus ACCAC and NJCCA Player of the Week multiple times. She went on to Grand Canyon University where she led the team in scoring, rebounding, and field goal percentages. She earned First Team All-Conference honors her junior and senior years. Her final year at Grand Canyon, she led the team to the Conference Championship.

Brandi then took her education and sports knowledge and became a teacher and a coach. She set a goal to give back to the Globe-Miami community, which she says gave her so much support to help her pursue sports and the education scholarships they brought when her father passed away when she was 15. Her husband Sterling faced similar hardships in Payson with his mother baking hundreds and hundreds of pies to earn money for his sports trip. The two opened White Haven Engravings, which offers a fundraising opportunity for sports, schools, and other groups. Brandi is paying back the leadership and education opportunities her athletic career offered.
