Student Care Services

College life can be exciting, but it also comes with challenges that may feel overwhelming at times. If you're facing obstacles that could impact your ability to stay enrolled, MCC’s Student Care Team is here to support you. Our goal is to help you manage life’s difficulties so you can stay focused on your education and personal growth.

We can connect you with school, financial, and community resources that may assist with basic needs—such as food, housing, or transportation—that might be affecting your ability to continue your studies. While financial assistance isn’t guaranteed, we’re committed to working with you to explore available options and find the help you need. This may include:

  • Mental Health & Emotional Support
Referrals for (MCC) counseling, to assist students in addressing their personal, academic and career development.
  • Basic Needs Resources
Food and hygiene support, access to clothing and other essential items and referrals for shelter.
  • Academic Support
Resources like Disability Resource Services, the Writing Lab, and Tutoring.
  • Campus Resources
Connections to student support services, student clubs and organizations, and campus workshops.

How to Submit a Referral

A Care Team Referral helps students find support resources to stay in class and successfully finish. Falling behind in their studies can have a domino effect on a student’s ability to earn a degree, get a good job, transfer, graduate, or even qualify for financial aid or scholarships.
