Who needs to complete the pre-paramedicine courses?
Prospective paramedicine program applicants are highly encouraged to complete the pre-paramedicine foundational coursework.
PME 190 and PME 191 are open to anyone interested in advancing their education in Pharmacology and ECG Rhythm Analysis; however, prior education or experience in a medical field is recommended.
It is highly suggested that students take both PME190 & PME191 concurrently (together simultaneously). It is recommended that students taking PME190 and PME191 have previously taken a human anatomy or biology course.
How to Register for Pre-Paramedicine Courses
Mesa Community College is now offering the PME 190 Introduction to ECG Rhythm Analysis and Interpretation for EMS Professionals. This course is currently not a requirement for the paramedicine program, however it is strongly recommended to ensure readiness for the program. This course is now available for registration through your student center.
Follow the steps below to self-register into your Pre-Paramedicine courses.
- Use the MCC Class Schedule to search for your classes and select Show Only Open Classes
- Keep track of your classes section numbers for adding classes.
- In your Student Center, click on the Manage Classes tile. Watch for your Duo push notification to log in.
- Use Class Search and Enroll to get registered.
