Mesa Community College hosts Mesa City Council candidate forum

MESA, Arizona – June 30, 2026 – Mesa Community College's Center for Community & Civic Engagement (CCCE) invites Mesa residents and interested MCC students and employees to attend a nonpartisan Mesa City Council Candidate Forum for Districts 4 and 5.

The forum will be held on Tuesday, July 7 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Navajo Room (KSC-116) on the Southern and Dobson Campus, 1833 W. Southern Ave., Mesa. The event is free and open to the public.

Moderated by Tara Jackson, president of Arizona Town Hall, the forum will provide attendees an opportunity to hear directly from candidates, learn about issues affecting the Mesa community and ask questions before the election. All qualified candidates were invited to participate, ensuring a fair and nonpartisan forum for voters.

To date, the participating candidates are:

  • Amanda Jones, District 5
  • Aleks Vranicic, District 5
  • Nick Willis, District 4

The forum reflects Mesa Community College's commitment to civic engagement by providing opportunities for the community to engage with local candidates, learn about the issues and become informed voters.
