Financial Literacy Workshops Offered

MESA, Arizona—Sept. 24, 2015—Financial matters can be stressful and confusing. Mesa Community College (MCC) will provide students, their family members and the community with the tools and resources to better understand and manage their finances.

The Chronicle of Higher Education recently reported nearly 20 million Americans attend college each year. Of that 20 million, close to 12 million - or 60% - borrow (or take out loans) to help cover costs.

“We know education can change lives. We also know students and their families are struggling to pay for tuition and books. This is why MCC remains committed to providing a low cost, high quality educational experience and helping our students and our community find effective ways to manage their financial commitments,” said Roger Yohe, MCC’s Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs.

MCC’s Financial Aid Department will host the free one-hour workshops on the following dates at MCC’s Southern & Dobson campus (1833 West Southern Ave., Mesa) in the Enrollment Center, Building 39, in the conference room on the south side of the building.
