As Box Office Coordinator, Marisa Estrada has been vital to the success of the MCC Theatre Arts as well as the Music and Dance departments. Over the course of 23 years, Marisa has performed her job tirelessly for all three departments to make certain each production is presented professionally. She arranges the promotion, sets up ticket software, and provides supervision for theatre, dance, and music events. Because entertainment is often in the evening and on weekends, Marisa works hours and days beyond typical work schedules. She is one of the original members of the Copper Mask Theatre Society, an honor bestowed on those who contribute to the excellence of MCC theatre. Marisa’s expertise is known throughout the theatre community. Those in the industry often contact her for advice and solutions to problems.

Marisa was named Club Advisor of the Year for MCC’s award-winning LGBTQ+ club and collaborated with community members to coordinate a Drag Show. She designed, budgeted, and raised funds for the campus beautification project that created soft space for students around the Communication and Theatre area of campus. She was integral in hosting Kennedy Center of American College Theatre Festivals at MCC, coordinates the volunteer usher program, and liaisons with community outreach groups such Hope Kids and Vet Tix. There are those who say her DNA has become a part of every entertainment venue at MCC.
