EDU221 Introduction to Education 3 Credits

Overview of the historical, political, economic, social, and philosophical factors that influence education and make it so complex. Opportunity for students to assess their interest and suitability for teaching. Prerequisites: None.

Course Notes: During this course students will conduct a minimum of 30 hours of field experience in a P-12 classroom environment, often requiring an Identity Verified Prints (IVP) fingerprint clearance card. To begin the IVP card process, go to https://www.aps.gemalto.com/az/index.htm Before filling out the fingerprint card application, be sure to check the locations list to verify locations and hours of operation.
